I finally got my new health insurance set up so I can go to therapy again. Yaaaaaay. Much-needed since the nausea has cycled back on me again & I spent the last two weeks in the bottomless pit. This country's healthcare system is effing ridiculous, but I'm still one of the lucky ones.

Glad you've got the insurance sorted and hope you're doing better! (Also: vitamin D. You never think it's a lack-of-vitamin-D pit but you'd be surprised how often it's a lack-of-vitamin-D pit. Yeah I'm unsolicited-advising but it's a scientific fact that vitamin D should always be consumed several weeks before you remembered you needed to consume it)

Both are good. I was thinking in terms of supplements, but that said I think we get benefits from being outside that we still don't really understand, so it can't be reduced to some other process in practice. But yeah vit d is one that creeps up on you, making you feel terrible in ways that can be attributed to anything and everything else, so you don't think of it until you get your bloods done and your doctor is like 'wat is this :0'. Another one to watch is iron. Because it's a cycle, get depressed [maybe for some biochemical reason] -> think it's over politics or spiritual disconnect -> try to live more in line with ideals -> cut out meat -> get anaemic -> now more depressed. \o/ Different friends get lured into it, every few years.

Yeah, step one go fix the eating. :P Easier said than done when caught in a nausea loop but it's a way of avoiding them. I mean, nothing extreme, I'm thinking like nice bolognese with good bread or someth... and watching out for caffeine. All the usual advice people give and don't follow that I'm sure you've heard a million times... :D But seriously it's so not worth spending days angsting and then discovering it was down to needing dinner. Not that awareness of that stops it from happening over and over and over again. :P But we can try!

Yeah, I think someone who frames their thoughts in terms of "clean eating" is gonna make themselves ill and waste their money. Changing overall behaviour as a group to change an industry, I support, if people keep their actions in perspective. And I get just having a sense of distaste and not wanting to live out of step with that. But purity stuff will make a person sick. And whatever the motivation, there's a nutritional deficiency headed their way if they don't take care with it.

Yeah I felt silly going 'and caffeine' because, duh, but then I did make friends with someone for whom this was a revelation and it helped them, so now I just make the dumb comment on the off chance. xD

I raise you a hot cross bun.

(also lol your new theme now has the ip-address-logging warning message in allcaps; makes it feel like it's going to be used for nefarious purposes!)

The warning is under the reply window.(It's no longer allcaps now! :D)

I don't think they're much use to normal people, but weirdos use them to narrow down people's location to doxx them sometimes. If they administer a few sites or access leaks from a few sites they can cross-reference them to uncover identities.

Istr dreamwidth doesn't actually have support for IP-banning people, which makes it all stranger. But I suppose if you're administering something else and then someone starts sending you abuse on dreamwidth, you can see if the same person shows up in both places. Still a bit of a strange priority; I wonder if they intended to do more with it.
